The interior design inside the Garden Junior Suite Plus hotel room at Pikes Ibiza is both exciting and inviting – a blend of comfort and charm that makes it hard to check-out.
While some elements remain the preserve of Pikes Hotel guests, from bespoke print deckchairs to silk poolside cushions — much of Pikes’ aesthetic can be reimagined beyond its walls. Here’s how to capture a little of that curated chaos and style for your own home, whether it’s in Ibiza or anywhere else in the world.
Pikes Ibiza is no ordinary hotel. It’s where rock-star photography hangs against whitewashed beams and above velvet headboards, giant mushrooms punctuate the gardens as part of an open-air art collection, and pine trees shimmer with suspended disco balls. The air is heavy with legend — Freddie Mercury’s birthday revels, Grace Jones commanding the poolside, Wham!’s Club Tropicana forever immortalised — but what truly sets Pikes apart is its interiors and eclectic design.
This 15th century finca-turned-icon is a living gallery — a laboratory of design where spaces are at once glamorous, irreverent, and deeply rooted in Ibiza’s creative soul. Illustrators, textile designers, photographers, and furniture makers have each left their imprint, ensuring that no corner feels incidental. Every detail carries intent. The result is mischievous yet elegant, theatrical yet oddly comforting — a balance only Pikes manages to strike.

The star of the scene is Grace Jones while Botanize Heritage Recycled Velvet Cushions by Design Savages and the Kimbie Throw by Slowdown Studio are for design-lovers.
The visionary behind Pikes Ibiza’s much-celebrated aesthetic is co-founder and Creative Director Dawn Hindle. For Dawn, every new season is a chance to reimagine the hotel, shifting perspectives, uncovering fresh treasures, and infusing each space with its own unique soul. In 2023, she unveiled the transformation of eight Garden Junior Suites and Garden Suites, each spanning between 30 and 45 square meters. The redesign was led by British interior designer Lucinda Swayne, founder of Lucinda K Design, who was enlisted by Pikes to breathe new life into the suites, bathrooms, and select outdoor areas.
Textiles & Prints with Attitude: Bold Wallpaper and Comforts for Your Home
A suite at Pikes is never just four walls — it’s an immersion in texture. That spirit is captured in the collaboration with Slowdown Studio, whose artist-designed blankets, draped across super king-size beds in the refurbished Garden Suites, transcend mere accessory. They act as bursts of abstract colour that ground the new ultra-high-end rooms in playful artistry. At home, their woven throws can achieve the same effect: a flash of irreverence across a neutral sofa or the clean lines of crisp white bedding. The versatile design can also be used as a picnic rug or wall art.
The Kimble Throw, Dresden Throw, and Pollard Throw are just a few highlights from Slowdown Studio’s extensive and artfully curated collection.
Meanwhile, British design duo Divine Savages bring maximalist theatre to the interiors, designing wallpaper, lampshades and textiles that fuses eccentricity with elegance. The designs take influences from history, culture, fashion and the natural world – a style that is already a cult favorite and mirrors the Pikes’ philosophy: bold, playful, and unforgettable. You can bring this look into your own home by mixing statement patterns, rich textures, and eclectic accessories that celebrate personality and flair.

Pikes Junior Garden Suite Plus features a black and white photo by iconic Steve Emberton of Joan Jett and the Runaways. Lighting up the room is the seriously sexy art deco inspired fringed lampshade by Divine Savages and the designers also work magic on the bedroom pillows.
The lampshade with decadent trimmed fringe in¨Gershwing Gold¨ is a heirloom piece designed by Divine Savages and hand crafted by artisans in the heart of the British countryside.
Echoing the same spirit of sumptuous irreverence, Tiger Mountain’s Velvet Pouffe with Walnut Plinth by Six The Residence captures Pikes’ blend of indulgence and upholstery edge — a furniture statement that feels at once vintage and unapologetically modern. To add some Pikes charm to your home think custom fabrics as opposed to buying chairs ready made. For example, reupholster a chair or sofa in Kirkby Design’s Piccadilly fabric, its reissued geometric mid-century motif lends a whisper of retro decadence and is blended with the iconic aspect of London´s underground design identity, adding a hint of British heritage.
Atop authentic local stone flooring in cool grey, Nordic Knots rugs such as the “Jute Border¨ and ¨Jute Edge¨with striking black borders were introduced to ground the suites with calm, bring texture and timeless appeal to the rooms. The handcrafted natural jute weaves create a statement of understated elegance.
A pair of vintage chairs have been reupholstered in Kirby Design´s Piccadilly fabric while pared back natural jute rugs are by Nordic Knots. The bedroom decorative pillow Fierce and the Fabulous in Archive Green is by Divine Savages.

Moving outdoors, few details embody Pikes’ ethos more vividly than its bespoke Silken Favours poolside cushions and custom designed printed deckchairs, created exclusively for the hotel by designer Vicki Murdoch. Hand-illustrated with a mix of lobsters, pineapples, strawberries, glittering disco balls and palms, the designs have a wacky, wild energy and a vibrant multicolored palette – perfectly capturing the property’s playful, sun-soaked spirit. While these pieces can’t be purchased, the only way to lounge on them is to book a stay. Murdoch’s wider collections carry the same exuberant energy, offering a burst of colour and joyful expression for any interior.

Home Art with Edge: Pikes Ibiza Style
Art at Pikes is not an afterthought; it’s a living, breathing identity. Guests pass hand-inked murals by Rory Dobner, whose whimsical monochrome animals climb walls, signage, and even tiles. His collection of original artworks, fine bone china hand edged in 22 carat gold, home accessories and decor, brings the same sense of mischievous storytelling to domestic spaces.
From intricate ink illustrations of Cat Monocle, Cheeky Chameleon and Smokey Fish, we can take cues from Pikes and imbue our personal space with these humorous and quirky art prints, candles, dinner plates, tiles, super sized trays and even soap dispensers. [images: Rory Dobner]
Equally, the raw energy of Ibiza’s nightlife is distilled in ibiza based artist Victor Spinelli’s work. His photographs immortalise the hedonistic excess of Manumission’s wildest nights, while his newer Casino Chip series adds a playful pop-art twist. Together, they embody the island’s spirit of risk, spectacle, and nostalgia. To channel Pikes’ rock-and-roll charisma at home, his bold, graphic canvases are the ultimate statement.

For a softer but no less powerful narrative, U.S. based celebrity photographer and creative visionary Diana Gomez has brought glamour and provocation in equal measure. Her colorful portraits of cultural icons and high fashion editorial shoots echo the spirit of Pikes: sensual, theatrical, unapologetic, and her prints allow you to bring that same cinematic energy into your living space. Despite this, not all photography at Pikes is a riot of colour – black-and-white photos of rock ´n´ roll and punk icons are a defining element of Pikes nostalgia. A standout image is Steve Emberton’s photograph of Joan Jett and The Runaways, displayed in large format in one of the hotels newly refurbished Garden Junior Suites. This look can be achieved with limited edition prints.

The Takeaway: How to Bring Pikes Hotel Spirit Home
To shop the look of Pikes Ibiza, is less about replicating a room than about embracing its contradictions: luxury offset with irreverence, craft tempered by humour, comfort laced with provocation. From Rory Dobner’s mischievous illustrations, Victor Spinelli’s nostalgic photography, and Diana Gomez’s prints to Slowdown Studio’s abstract throws, Divine Savages’ riotous wallpaper, and Silken Favours’ playful silk designs, each piece carries the hotel’s guiding spirit, design that tells stories, invites discovery, and refuses to take itself too seriously.
At Pikes, as at home – the magic is in the mix.
