EIVISSA - IBIZA

Eivissa, also known as Ibiza Town, is the capital of the island. It is home to the fortified old town (Dalt Vila) a UNESCO World Heritage Site that dates back to the 16th century. The old town is a maze of narrow streets and alleys, lined with whitewashed buildings, colourful flowers and the main beach is Talamanca. There is a ferry port with transport to Mallorca or the Spanish mainland and two yacht marinas offering day trips to Formentera, the paradise island just next door. Whether you are wandering around the new town, the exclusive Marina Botafoch, La Marina or Dalt Vila, Ibiza is a great place to explore on foot, with endless bars, boutiques and international restaurants.

The island's World Heritage status is not only related to historic Dalt Vila. The recognition encompasses the ancient Phoenician ruins found at Sa Caleta (in San Jose) and the essential underwater seagrass meadows, Posidonia. The seagrass contributes to the clarity of the waters here and the oxygen levels in the sea and around us. This highlights the island's rich and historical significance.
